In the following examples, xxx identifies the referenced data. For web page groups and text blocks this can be a code or a number.

In the processing of these codes a numeric value is interpreted as a key number, and a non-numeric value as a code. However, a code which happens to be completely numeric can be used by putting it between quotes.

Elements do not have codes, and are always identified by their element number.

The retrieved texts can be modified by various parameters.

#wPAGE_URL:xxx#

Retrieves the destination URL of page group xxx, to be used in hyperlinks linking one page group with another.

The system will normally try to generate a relative address. If you specifically need an absolute address, use parameter ABS.

e.g. #wPAGE_URL:__iphlex# ../index.html

Parameters: ABS, LANG, UCASE, LCASE, LINK.

#wPAGE_LOCATION:xxx#

Retrieves the location (path) of page group xxx. This can be useful for specifying the location of a file (e.g. an image or a Javascript file) which is to be accessed in files situated in various locations.

The system will normally try to generate a relative address. If you specifically need an absolute address, use parameter ABS.

e.g. #wPAGE_LOCATION:__iphlex# ../

Parameters: ABS, UCASE, LCASE, LINK.

#wPAGE_PREVIEW_URL:xxx#

Retrieves the symbol / preview file (control panel > web pages > web page groups > general 3) of page group xxx. If no symbol / preview file has been specified for the referenced page group, an attempt will be made to retrieve the first preview file specified for an element of the page group.

e.g. #wPAGE_PREVIEW_URL:__iphlex# ../if_6.jpg

Parameters: ABS, UCASE, LCASE, LINK.

#wPAGE_TITLE:xxx#

Retrieves the page title (control panel > web pages > web page groups > general 2) from page group xxx. This is normally the title used in the header of a HTML page (but as this is a flexible system you can use it any way you like!).

e.g. #wPAGE_TITLE:*lanz1# Lanzarote, February 2002

Parameters: SHORT, LANG, UCASE, LCASE, HTML, NOHTML, NOPICS, LIMIT, LINES, LINK.

Retrieves page title 1 (control panel > web pages > web page groups > general 2) from page group xxx.
