| appearance of webphlex under different operating systems
Between the various versions of Windows, Microsoft have changed the appearance of windows and buttons, one noticeable change being that their background colours have become progressively lighter. This means that the background colours of MS Access screens will be darker in Windows 98 and NT than in Windows 2000, whereas in Windows XP they will be lighter. Parts of the screens which are of a fixed colour, however, will therefore 'stand out' against some backgrounds.
Because it was developed under Windows XP running in "Windows Classic" style (which is identical to Windows 2000), webphlex looks best when run in one of these environments. If you run it under Windows 98 or NT, or in Windows XP running in "Windows XP" style (the default), the windows and buttons will appear slightly differently than in the documentation screen shots. These are purely cosmetic differences, and do not in any way affect the functioning of webphlex. In Windows 2000, for instance (or in Windows XP in "Windows Classic" style), the user logon screen will look like this:

(logon_w2000) |

That's also how it looks in the documentation screen shot.
In Windows 98 or NT, however, it will look like this:

(logon_w98) |

and in Windows XP running in "Windows XP" style, it will look like this:

(logon_wxp) |

You can change Windows XP from "Windows XP" style (the default) to "Windows Classic" style by chicking the Windows Start button, followed by: Control panel > Display > Appearance > Windows and buttons: Windows Classic style
